PROCUREMENT NOTICE
No IRQ/Q-0134/04: Supply of Street Lighting Lamps & Brackets, Umm Qasr, Iraq

2. Type of Competition: Open International Competition.
3. Contracting Authority: UNDP Iraq.

The work briefly comprises:
Bidders can bid for all of the items mentioned below. Partial Supply within items will not be accepted.

2 Lantern for 125 Watt high pressure vapour colour corrected, bulb type lamps, with ES27 2600
3 Street Lighting brackets suitable for fixing with distribution steel poles 2600


Terms of Participation and Eligibility:
Bidders must provide a bid security in the amount of USD 2,500.00 this security will be released to unsuccessful bidders once the bidding procedure has been completed and to successful bidder(s) upon signature of the Contract by all parties.

The successful bidder will be asked to provide a performance security of 10 % of the Contract amount at the time of signing of the Contract. The performance security must be provided no later than 30 days after the Bidder receives the Contract from the Contracting Authority. If the selected bidder fails to provide such a security within this period, the contract will be void and a new contract may be drawn up and sent to the bidder, which has submitted the second best admissible bid.

Bid validity is set out at 90 days, i.e. bids must remain valid for a period of 90 days after the deadline for submission of bids.

Selection and Award:
UNDP will Issue the Purchase Order to the lowest priced technically qualified Bidder. The UNDP reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to annul the solicitation process and reject all Bids at any time prior to award of purchase order, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder(s) or any obligation to provide information on the grounds for the UNDP’s action.

On submission of a company profile and evidence of experience in the required sector, ITB documents will be forwarded to prospective bidders

Deadline for submission of bids: Thursday, 27th January 2005, 12:00 hrs local time.

Any bid received after this deadline will not be considered.
