We are a marketing company active in selling equipment and instrumentation for the process industries and the petroleum industries in India. We have a requirement for rectifier system to be installed in an electrolyser plant for caustic soda. The specifications are as follows:

Rectifier System as per IEC 46.

Commercial proposal required for following 2 options:

AA)1. 2 x 33kA 600 vdc, 12 pulse

2. 4 x 16.5kA 600 vdc, 6 pulse (net output 12 pulse)

BB)Supply voltage for the rectifier system shall be as below:

Voltage: 22kV +/- 10%
Frequency: 50Hz +/- 5%
Combined Voltage and Frequency Variation: 10%

CC)Environmental Conditions shall be as follows:

Ambient Maximum Temperature: 50 Deg C
Maximum Average 24 hrs Temperature: 42.5 Deg C
Maximum Weighted Average Annual: 34 Deg C
Maximum Cooling Water Temperature Inlet: 35 Deg C
Maximum Cooling Water Temperature Outlet: 40 Deg C (Difference 5 Deg C)
Humidity: 90%
Atmospheric Conditions: Traces of Chlorine + CS2 + Boiler Fly Ash + Sulphur

DD)Control Panel will be located in the control room. Recitifier will be designed for independent operation with separate control signals.


EE)Flexible connection between transformer and rectifier will be Aluminum.

FF)OCTC taps for primary of the transformer will correspond to the following operating voltages: 600 vdc, 550 vdc, 500 vdc, 450 vdc (including the nominal tap).

GG)Minimum fault level will be 160 MVA. The distance between AC Breaker and transformer is 200 meters and cable will be 1 x 400 sq. mm for 16.32 kA rectifier and 2 x 400 sq. mm for 33 kA.

HH)Installation in client scope.

II) PFIC system not in scope.

Offer required immediately - client to make decision by end August 2005. FOB delivery is required within 5-6 months of order.
