strength of blend got to 46.3 kJ/m2, which was as 4.3 times as pure
PA6 in dry and low temperature condition; however, when K-MAH
toughened PA6-1013NW8, which MFR was 4.78g/10min, when
K-MAH reached 20wt%, the impact strength in dry condition only
increased 1.3 times.
The tough effect of blend was influenced by the disperse
status of toughness agents and the adhesive of interface. During the
melt process, when K-MAH blended with high MFR of PA6, the
meltage of PA6 can be dispersed easily for its high fluid, so the
shear force between PA6 and K-MAH was so small that it was
difficult to avulse the particle of K-MAH.
