Kal-Gard FL is an all-graphite based forming lubricant. This coating is designed for use in the hot forming of titanium metal and to prevent galling during the forming operation. Kal-Gard FL is also excellent for die casting aluminum and zinc metals. The product is designed to function as a boundary lubricant in cold forming operations and in hot forming operations up to and exceeding 1500F. Kal-Gard FL provides a low coefficient of friction, good wear life, and is RoHS compliant. The coating can be used as a lubricant for high temperature applications on corrosion resistant substrates.
